Epoxy resin ratio calculator

Calculate A+B epoxy resin ratio from the manufacturer data: component A, component B and hardener required for a known amount of A.

Input data

Enter workshop assumptions. The result is recalculated locally in your browser.

Total A+B mass.
First number from the TDS.
Second number from the TDS.
Optional: calculate B for the A you already have.

What is the ratio calculator for?

It quickly splits the target mixed mass into component A and B. It is useful for small top-ups, samples and repairs where you do not want to mix a whole kit.

The most important rule

Use the current TDS ratio for the exact product. Different epoxy systems use different ratios, and guessing often ends with a sticky or brittle surface.

When should you use the main calculator first?

If you do not know the target mixed amount yet, calculate the project volume in the main resin calculator before splitting A and B.

What should you watch on the scale?

Use a stable cup, tare the scale before each component and avoid pouring hardener too fast. Ratio errors can look small but matter chemically.

FAQ

Can I mix by volume?

Only if the manufacturer explicitly provides a volume ratio. Otherwise weigh the components.

What happens if the ratio is wrong?

A small error may extend curing; a larger error can leave a sticky or brittle surface.

Does temperature change the ratio?

No. Temperature changes viscosity and working time, but not the required A:B ratio.
