Resin comparator

Use the comparator when two or three resin systems look similar but differ in maximum layer, working time, viscosity, curing profile or documented technical data.

Decision points

What to compare first

  • Maximum single pour depth versus your actual layer thickness.
  • Pot life and gel time at your workshop temperature.
  • Mixing ratio by weight or volume and tolerance for pigment.
  • TDS availability and the clarity of manufacturer documentation.
Use case

Match the system to the project

A resin that is excellent for thin coating may be unsafe for a deep river table pour. Start with the project geometry, not the marketing name.

Thermal risk

Depth changes everything

For thick pours, exotherm and heat dissipation dominate the decision. Mold material, ambient temperature and layer schedule can matter as much as the resin itself.

Deep pour

Prioritize low exotherm and documented layer depth.

Table top

Prioritize clarity, surface quality and bubble release.

Art and coating

Prioritize UV stability, viscosity and working feel.
