River table / guide
Epoxy resin for a river table
For a river table what matters most is a calm deep-pour epoxy that lets you cast a larger mass without runaway exotherm. The decision is not only about the declared depth — working time, viscosity, wood preparation and dust protection all count.
How to choose
For large tables, pick systems with long working time and a depth that matches the real pour mass.
Seal the wood with a thin coat — most bubbles come from pores, cracks and edges.
Do not treat the maximum layer as a safety margin. In a warmer workshop or an enclosed mold, leave headroom.
